The Manufacturing Method Of Microbial Fermentation

The microbial fermentation process is divided into aerobic fermentation and anaerobic fermentation according to the requirements of fermentation conditions. There are several methods for aerobic fermentation, including liquid surface culture fermentation, fermentation on porous or granular solid medium surface, and aerobic deep fermentation. Anaerobic fermentation uses anaerobic deep fermentation. Therefore, both aerobic and anaerobic fermentation can be achieved through deep culture, which is completed in cylindrical fermentation tanks with a certain aspect ratio. The operating methods can be divided into the following.
Batch operation: The substrate is loaded into the tank at once, inoculated under suitable conditions for reaction, and after a certain period of time, all reactants are removed.
Semi batch operation: also known as stream add operation. It refers to first loading a certain amount of substrate into a tank and inoculating it under suitable conditions to initiate the reaction. During the reaction process, specific restricted substrates are fed into the reactor to control the concentration of restricted substrates in the tank within a certain range. The reaction is terminated and all reactants are removed.
Repeated batch operation: After the batch operation is completed, remove a portion of the reaction system, add the remaining portion back to the substrate, and then proceed with the batch operation.
Repeated semi batch operation: After the flow addition operation is completed, remove a portion of the reaction system, and add a certain amount of substrate to the remaining portion, and then proceed with the flow addition operation.
Continuous operation: After the reaction starts, on the one hand, the substrate is continuously supplied to the reactor, and at the same time, the reaction liquid is continuously taken out, so that the reaction process is in a stable state, and the reaction conditions do not change with time.
